The R44s have a two-blade rotor system, cyclical T-bar aerodynamic instrument panels, and a crash-proof fuel system. A powder-coated and aluminum monocoque steel tube structure provides a lightweight yet robust airframe, while the aerodynamic airframe optimizes airspeed and fuel economy.

Console
Standard 6-hole panel. Options shown: Aspen PFD. Options shown: 8-hole panel with Aspen PFD, turn coordinator and digital clock, Garmin GTN 750Xi in pilot-side console, Garmin GMA 350Hc audio controller in lower console, and co-pilot accessory bar.
Interior
Under-seat storage for small soft-sided carry-on bags and personal items. Standard velour seats are available in charcoal, gray, and tan. Optional leather seats are available in charcoal, gray, and tan.
Equipment
The CLIPPER I is equipped with fixed utility floats to provide an extra layer of safety for over-water operations. Fixed utility floats remain fully inflated, add approximately 50 pounds to the aircraft’s empty weight, and reduce cruise speed by approximately ten knots.
